Formbricks
Formbricks hardens its 6.1 release candidate as agents get API and MCP access to responses.
A side-by-side editorial comparison of LiveAgent and Xurrent — release velocity, themes, recent moves, and the top alternatives to consider.
LiveAgent spends a week fixing chats stuck after the bot hands off.
The Oct 9 and Oct 13 builds on the 5.68 and 5.69 lines are maintenance: chats left stuck in 'Chatting' after a chatbot-to-human handoff, translation failures on HTML emails, missing attachment downloads after the email migration, and a security fix. 5.69.6 also enforces the AI Agent limit at creation. The AI chat operator (5.69.4) and its handoff controls and message translation (5.69.5) remain the latest feature work.
Xurrent lets staff approve tasks inside Sera AI chat as October's update keeps growing.
Xurrent ITSM ships monthly update documents that grow week by week. September delivered six specialized Sera AI Agents plus Jamf CMDB and native ClickUp integrations. The October document now spans agent controls (scoping in Agent Designer, an Agent Actions inbox), core ITSM work (problem tasks, closing linked requests from a problem's resolution, team mentions) and, in its latest revision, approving and rejecting tasks in Sera chat, time entry privacy for directory accounts and a browsable knowledge library in Self Service.

After shipping an AI operator into live chat and the handoff rules around it, LiveAgent is now hardening those paths: the handoff bug is fixed on both maintained branches, and per-account AI Agent limits are enforced. The pattern is feature drop on 5.69, then fixes backported to 5.68 within days.
Expect the next 5.69 feature build to continue message translation (outbound replies) or extend AI tools to more channels; when is unclear from these fix-only entries.

Sera is moving from a single assistant to a managed multi-agent system, and now into a place where routine decisions get made: approvals happen in the chat rather than in the record. Problem management and inbox workflows keep deepening alongside, and each month adds an iPaaS connector, which positions Xurrent as an ITSM coordination layer.
Expect further October revisions to add more actions that can be completed from Sera chat, beyond approvals; the entries don't show which ones.
