◆Current state
Formbricks' 6.0 RC cycle in September renamed Unify to Analyze, put Act in Beta, capped unlicensed self-hosted installs at one workspace and added MCP OAuth. 6.1.0-rc.1 brought the v3 responses API, MCP read and write scopes for responses and per-webhook background delivery. rc.2 and rc.3 are backport batches; rc.3 enforces the workspace limit inside the creating transaction, removes a Zod eval probe from the survey renderer and fixes online-upgrade edge cases around Cube. The feed still shows no 6.0.0 stable tag.
◆Where it's heading
The commercial gating from 6.0 is now paired with programmatic access: responses and feedback records become data that agents and integrations read and write through a documented API and MCP. rc.3's transactional workspace-limit check shows the licensing cap is being made race-proof, and the Cube digest-pinning guidance signals that self-hosted upgrades remain the riskiest part of the release.
◆Prediction
Expect one or two more 6.1 release candidates focused on upgrade paths before a stable tag; when 6.0 or 6.1 reaches stable still can't be read from the entries.

    6.1 RC2: v3 API validation, incremental extraction, upgrade fixes

    Mostly backported fixes to the 6.1 line: v3 survey patches now reject cyclic logic, overlapping file uploads keep every answer, and Helm and upgrade scripts are corrected. The one addition, updated_since/updated_until filters on feedback records, supports incremental syncs for the new API surface.

    6.1 RC1: v3 responses API, MCP response access, webhook jobs

    6.1 opens with the v3 responses API (an OpenAPI contract, keyset-paginated reads, create, patch and delete) and exposes responses through the MCP server with read and write scopes. Webhook delivery fans out into per-webhook background jobs, and OAuth dynamic client registration is limited to loopback redirects. It turns 6.0's MCP OAuth into real data access for agents.

    rc.3 ships 14 bug fixes covering chart rendering, survey editor UX, response filtering, and Helm configuration — plus an A/B test shortening the Pro trial from 14 to 7 days, the clearest signal yet of commercial experimentation ahead of the 6.0 stable release.
