◆Current state
The changelog is dense with operational and compliance work rather than product launches. Messaging compliance dominates: programmatic re-opt-in on toll-free numbers through the Consent Management API, and clearer rejection codes for Toll-Free Verification and A2P 10DLC registration. Alongside it sits deliverability work on Twilio Email — dedicated IPs with a 41-day warm-up and pooling — and a run of platform notices covering certificate rotation and regional webhook addressing.
◆Where it's heading
Two arcs are visible. The first is Twilio positioning itself as the compliance layer between businesses and carriers, turning consent state and registration feedback into API surface rather than manual carrier processes. The second is the absorption of SendGrid into Twilio Email, with reputation controls moving into the Twilio console while SendGrid-era features are pared back. Underneath both, the platform is moving from shared to dedicated regional infrastructure, with Event Streams the first to get its own US East range.
◆Prediction
Expect further regional IP ranges for Event Streams in other Twilio regions, plus continued migration of SendGrid capabilities into the Twilio Email console.
