What is Spectra?
Spectra Blocks Pro 1.0.6 fixes dynamic data and Loop Builder on the front end.
Spectra Blocks Pro 1.0.6 is a fix release that makes dynamic content in templates, query loops and sliders behave reliably on the live site. It follows free-plugin 1.0.12, which fixed per-card featured images in Post blocks and added shortcode Button labels in full-site editing.
What is Webflow?
Webflow launched Source — a new platform for marketing teams and AI agents to build and govern web presence together.
Webflow shipped a dense release on September 2: Source by Webflow (a new platform in limited research preview for marketing teams and agents), Agent Instructions Generation (auto-drafting brand, design system, and CMS guidelines from a live site), visual editing of AI code components, breakpoint side-by-side preview, and slot restrictions for component governance. Source is the most significant — it reframes Webflow from a visual web builder into a platform that AI agents and humans use jointly to manage web presence.
Spectra vs Webflow: editorial side-by-side
Spectra
5.0DESIGN
Spectra Blocks Pro 1.0.6 fixes dynamic data and Loop Builder on the front end.
◆ Current state
Spectra Blocks Pro 1.0.6 is a fix release that makes dynamic content in templates, query loops and sliders behave reliably on the live site. It follows free-plugin 1.0.12, which fixed per-card featured images in Post blocks and added shortcode Button labels in full-site editing.
◆ Where it's heading
Spectra's last several releases have focused on matching the editor preview to the live site, first for AI-imported pages and containers, now for dynamic data and loops. The Pro add-on is filling in reliability after its style-guide and white-label features.
◆ Prediction
Expect more fidelity patches on both plugins; the entries don't point to a new feature release yet.
Webflow
7.5DESIGN
Webflow launched Source — a new platform for marketing teams and AI agents to build and govern web presence together.
◆ Current state
Webflow shipped a dense release on September 2: Source by Webflow (a new platform in limited research preview for marketing teams and agents), Agent Instructions Generation (auto-drafting brand, design system, and CMS guidelines from a live site), visual editing of AI code components, breakpoint side-by-side preview, and slot restrictions for component governance. Source is the most significant — it reframes Webflow from a visual web builder into a platform that AI agents and humans use jointly to manage web presence.
◆ Where it's heading
Webflow is inserting itself between marketing teams and AI agents at the web layer. Source and Agent Instructions together define a pattern: the site itself becomes the source of truth for how agents should understand and operate on a brand's web presence. This is a clear response to the rise of agent-driven web workflows where AI might generate, edit, or publish content on behalf of marketing teams.
◆ Prediction
Expect Source by Webflow to move from research preview to general availability with an agent marketplace — MCP servers or tool integrations that allow external agents (marketing AI, content AI) to operate within guardrails Webflow defines.
