JotForm vs Spectra
A side-by-side editorial comparison of JotForm and Spectra — release velocity, themes, recent moves, and the top alternatives to consider.
JotForm vs Spectra: at a glance
What is JotForm?
JotForm's last product launch was in August; September brought a G2 press release instead.
JotForm's August 25 launches, Website Widgets and the AI Data Assistant, are still its most recent product moves. Website Widgets puts reviews, calculators and commerce components on customer sites; the AI Data Assistant lets users query form submissions in plain language instead of exporting to spreadsheets. The posts around them are use-case and vertical marketing (education, teams, Smartsheet), and the newest entry is a G2 rankings announcement, not a release.
What is Spectra?
Spectra Blocks 1.0.13 fixes classic-theme spacing and counts content for Yoast and Rank Math.
Spectra Blocks 1.0.13 makes spacing controls work on classic themes, corrects Container alignment in the Site Editor, keeps Button icons at size next to long labels, and lets Spectra content count toward Yoast and Rank Math SEO analysis. It follows Pro 1.0.6, a fix round for dynamic data, Loop Builder and sliders.

JotForm
2.5DESIGN
JotForm's last product launch was in August; September brought a G2 press release instead.
◆ Current state
JotForm's August 25 launches, Website Widgets and the AI Data Assistant, are still its most recent product moves.
◆ Where it's heading
The product is widening from form collection toward showing and analyzing what forms collect, with AI positioned as the reporting layer over submission data. Education keeps getting dedicated content and integrations, and CRM/spreadsheet connectors keep the data flowing outward. The marketing that has followed the launches suggests JotForm is now selling these two products rather than shipping new ones.
◆ Prediction
The entries show no product release since August 25, so the next move is unclear; follow-ups to the AI Data Assistant or Widgets are the most likely candidates given how much post-launch content they are getting.
Spectra
5.0DESIGN
Spectra Blocks 1.0.13 fixes classic-theme spacing and counts content for Yoast and Rank Math.
◆ Current state
Spectra Blocks 1.0.13 makes spacing controls work on classic themes, corrects Container alignment in the Site Editor, keeps Button icons at size next to long labels, and lets Spectra content count toward Yoast and Rank Math SEO analysis. It follows Pro 1.0.6, a fix round for dynamic data, Loop Builder and sliders.
◆ Where it's heading
Spectra's recent releases have focused on matching what users see in the editor to the live site. With 1.0.13 that reliability work widens to compatibility with what surrounds the plugin: classic themes and third-party SEO tools.
◆ Prediction
Expect more compatibility and fidelity patches on both plugins; the entries don't point to a new feature release yet.
