Gravity Flow
Gravity Flow spends its autumn on upkeep, with one breaking change in PDF Generator 4.0
A side-by-side editorial comparison of My Hours and NotePlan — release velocity, themes, recent moves, and the top alternatives to consider.
My Hours 10.2 adds lifetime project profitability, including flat-fee work.
10.2 adds an all-time Balance column that shows lifetime project profitability, flat-fee projects included, and Project overview now shows Balance and Margin (all time). Clients can have multiple contacts for invoices and scheduled reports, and normal users can complete their assigned tasks if a Pro setting allows it. Those changes follow 10.0's configurable timesheet periods and locking and 10.1's account-wide audit log.
NotePlan builds MCP into the app and takes Memo AI to the Mac
NotePlan 3.22 ships a built-in MCP server on the Mac, found under Help ▸ AI Connectors, that lets assistants such as Claude, ChatGPT and Claude Code find, read and update notes, tasks and the calendar. It replaces the earlier Node.js server, needs nothing installed, and works when NotePlan is closed. The release also adds iPhone Duo layouts, a Mac share extension and Siri that adds to existing notes. Memo AI arrived on the Mac the same day, recording meetings without a bot and syncing with the iPhone app, which gained split memos and speaker management in 1.3.1.

My Hours is moving from time capture toward the money view of a project, on top of the controls finance and HR teams expect: periods, locks, approvals and a record of who changed what. Invoicing keeps getting deeper alongside that. The Claude connector remains a secondary interface, and nothing has been added to it since launch.
Expect more profitability reporting built on the all-time figures, along with approval and export features on top of timesheet periods. The entries don't show where the MCP integration goes next.

Both product lines are moving onto the same desk. The MCP server went from something a user installed to something the app contains, which keeps opening the notebook to outside software with less setup. Memo AI's move to the Mac puts capture beside the note app, and bot-free meeting recording gives it a reason to be open during work. Siri support in 3.21.3 and 3.22 shows the assistant surface extending to Apple's side as well.
Expect Memo AI and the main app to connect more directly, since they now share the Mac, and assigning tasks by speaker remains the obvious first link. The new MCP server is Mac-only in this release, so reaching iPhone is a question these entries leave open.
