Nifty rebuilt its mobile apps and shipped capacity planning while its API moved to v3.
A side-by-side editorial comparison of Gravity Flow and NotePlan — release velocity, themes, recent moves, and the top alternatives to consider.
Gravity Flow spends its autumn on upkeep, with one breaking change in PDF Generator 4.0
Gravity Flow is a WordPress workflow-automation add-on for Gravity Forms, in a maintenance stretch after 3.1's Choice Routing. The core 3.1.2 update tightens where Assignee, Multi-User and Discussion fields can go, and fixes upload deletion for logged-out users, a Connected Apps verification fault and two block or JavaScript errors. Around it, the extensions moved in one batch: PDF Generator 4.0 vendor-prefixes its mPDF library, a breaking change for custom code that references mPDF classes, and WooCommerce 1.7.1 adds HPOS compatibility.
NotePlan builds MCP into the app and takes Memo AI to the Mac
NotePlan 3.22 ships a built-in MCP server on the Mac, found under Help ▸ AI Connectors, that lets assistants such as Claude, ChatGPT and Claude Code find, read and update notes, tasks and the calendar. It replaces the earlier Node.js server, needs nothing installed, and works when NotePlan is closed. The release also adds iPhone Duo layouts, a Mac share extension and Siri that adds to existing notes. Memo AI arrived on the Mac the same day, recording meetings without a bot and syncing with the iPhone app, which gained split memos and speaker management in 1.3.1.

The extension family is being kept compatible with what sits around it, Gravity Forms repeaters, WooCommerce's order storage, and third-party PHP libraries, rather than gaining features. Vendor prefixing and HPOS are both about coexisting safely on a busy WordPress install. New workflow primitives have not appeared since July.
Expect further point releases across extensions, usually batched on one day as on September 30 and October 15. Whether a 3.2 with new step types follows is not visible from these entries.

Both product lines are moving onto the same desk. The MCP server went from something a user installed to something the app contains, which keeps opening the notebook to outside software with less setup. Memo AI's move to the Mac puts capture beside the note app, and bot-free meeting recording gives it a reason to be open during work. Siri support in 3.21.3 and 3.22 shows the assistant surface extending to Apple's side as well.
Expect Memo AI and the main app to connect more directly, since they now share the Mac, and assigning tasks by speaker remains the obvious first link. The new MCP server is Mac-only in this release, so reaching iPhone is a question these entries leave open.
