Knowmax
Knowmax argues AI fails without knowledge, and has started naming competitors directly.
A side-by-side editorial comparison of ProProfs Chat and Drift — release velocity, themes, recent moves, and the top alternatives to consider.
A live-chat vendor writing almost exclusively about the AI agents replacing live chat.
The feed is entirely the ProProfs Chat blog — ranked roundups and decision guides, published two or three a week in a first-person consultant voice. What stands out is the subject matter: AI agents versus human agents, AI support use cases, alternatives to Intercom's Fin, and vertical chatbot lists for healthcare, insurance, and ecommerce. Very little of it is about live chat as such.
Drift now ships inside Salesloft's monthly train, and that train is being pointed at ChatGPT.
Product news for Drift arrives through Salesloft's monthly release notes following the merger, and increasingly through Clari's too. The August notes put the Salesloft MCP server inside ChatGPT as a custom connector while trimming transcript retrieval out of the Claude connector. July was governance work — tiered call-recording visibility and a separate download permission. June added AI adoption metrics to Analytics and Cadence Collections for managing cadence settings in bulk.

The content has migrated ahead of the category. A live chat vendor now publishes mainly about whether you need a live chat vendor, and the recurring framing — cost per ticket, resolution rates, per-resolution pricing that punishes success — is the argument of a challenger positioning on price against AI-agent incumbents. Whether the product has followed the content into agent territory cannot be read from a marketing feed.
Expect more vertical AI-agent roundups and competitor-alternative pages on the same cadence. Any actual product movement stays invisible until ProProfs publishes release notes.

Two threads run through the last six months: agentic access to live Salesloft data, gated behind the Agentic add-on, and the permission scaffolding needed to sell that access to security teams. The MCP server launched in April, gained a second client surface in August, and simultaneously lost a tool — the surface is expanding while its scope is being pruned.
Expect the Agentic add-on to keep absorbing the AI feature line, and the transcript-access removal to be followed by explicit per-tool permissions rather than a blanket restore.
