Mautic
Mautic patches remote code execution in campaign import across three supported branches.
A side-by-side editorial comparison of Ghost and Hello Bar — release velocity, themes, recent moves, and the top alternatives to consider.
Ghost's welcome flows now report step by step and split by paid tier.
October extended the member email automation that has been Ghost's main line since June. Automation analytics show how many members enter welcome flows and follow them step by step, and welcome sequences can now differ per paid tier. Stripe Checkout customization keeps a publication's brand on the payment page, following August's gift improvements.
Hello Bar's popups now run surveys, polls and scheduled campaigns
Hello Bar builds popups, bars and lead-capture forms. Since late September it has added Forms & Surveys, with survey, poll, quiz, feedback and contact goals shown as modals, sliders, inline embeds or page takeovers, and launched Campaigns, which schedules popups to switch on and off by time window or weekly pattern. October brought a redesigned Trigger tab with a reopen limit for custom-event popups, and periodic session expiry. July had added gamification popups, video and a Widgets category.

The pattern holds: a capability ships, then a follow-up makes it measurable or more targeted. Sequences went from beta in June to performance reporting in August, flow-level analytics on 7 October and per-tier variants eight days later. The last three releases all concern the first moments of membership: entering a flow, getting the right welcome, paying.
Expect the automation work to keep branching, with flows beyond the welcome sequence the natural next step. The entries don't show whether sequences have left beta.

The product is widening from offer popups into a general on-site data-collection and scheduling tool. Campaigns took about eight weeks from 'coming soon' to live, and the October changes are about making setup faster.
Expect more Forms & Surveys follow-ups, since the launch post asks for ideas on what's next; the entries do not name specifics.
