NocoBase
NocoBase's 2.x line keeps shipping fixes while the agent stack runs in betas.
A side-by-side editorial comparison of Asana and Twake Drive — release velocity, themes, recent moves, and the top alternatives to consider.
Asana keeps fixing subtask plumbing: types now follow the parent, dates roll up.
Asana's fall releases split between control-plane work and planning mechanics. Subtask types are now set by the parent task rather than the project view they're added from, with a per-custom-type choice to inherit or default to basic Tasks. That follows Subtask Date Rollups, automation rules running on their owner's current permissions, a reorganized Admin Console with AI as its own section, and threaded comments.
Twake Drive 1.108 beta adds nested sharing, an AI writing assistant and Twake Space embedding.
Twake Drive ships beta releases every few weeks. The 1.108.0 beta is its largest in months: folders can be shared inside shared folders, invitations are accepted in-app, the move dialog is rebuilt on the file picker, and connected apps can restrict selection by folder, type, size or count. It also adds an optional AI assistant for documents and presentations, OnlyOffice PDF opening, and the ability to run inside Twake Space.

The summer sparks (AI Teammates, agent-built rules, Slack @mention capture) widened what Asana can do; the fall has been about making that safe to deploy and keeping task structure consistent. Predictable subtask types and dates matter because automations and AI Teammates read that structure, so cleaner hierarchies make both more reliable.
Expect more hierarchy consistency work, such as rollups that run automatically or via rules, and admin controls for AI Teammates in the new Admin Console AI section.

The file picker work of the summer is now paying off inside Drive itself (the move dialog) and for connected apps. With Twake Space embedding and an AI assistant behind flags, Drive is becoming one component of a broader workspace suite rather than a standalone file app.
Expect 1.108 patch betas to fix layout and sharing details, then further Twake Space integration; the AI assistant is likely to widen from writing help once it is enabled more broadly.
