◆Current state
SiYuan is iterating at high cadence — alpha, beta, and stable builds landing within days of each other — on its local-first knowledge base. The clear center of gravity is the database subsystem: column alignment, relation backlinks in the attribute panel, per-item templates, deep links to database items, and attributes shown inline in editors. Editor polish and mobile parity (iOS/Android/HarmonyOS keyboards, outline drag-and-drop) fill out the rest.
◆Where it's heading
The product is maturing its structured-data layer toward Notion-parity while keeping its local-first, privacy-first footing. The volume of database-specific enhancements across consecutive releases signals this is the strategic push, not a one-off. Mobile refinement is the steady secondary track. This is deepening an existing direction rather than opening a new one.
◆Prediction
Expect continued database feature build-out — richer views, filters, and templating — as SiYuan closes the gap with hosted structured-note tools, plus ongoing mobile input fixes.
