Teable
Teable is turning its no-code database into a place to host AI agents, and now gives admins control over the compute.
A side-by-side editorial comparison of SiYuan and Twake Drive — release velocity, themes, recent moves, and the top alternatives to consider.
SiYuan respins 3.8.7 beta twice in a day without changing a line of notes.
SiYuan moved 3.8.7 to beta on October 11 and published beta.2 and beta.3 within about two hours on October 12, both with notes identical to beta.1. The documented feature set is unchanged since alpha.9: an agent that manages snippets, scaffolds plugins, signs in with a ChatGPT account and compacts context on long tasks, plus database location fields, lunar dates and rollup filters.
Twake Drive is turning its file picker into a reusable component other apps can embed.
Twake Drive ships beta releases every few weeks. Most of the work goes into the embeddable File Picker: single-selection mode, thumbnail links, themes, double-click pick and ready-state messages. Alongside it come reusable file-type and date filters and federated-sharing fixes. It has also been cutting features, removing encrypted-file support and the Harvest integration.

AI is moving from a side panel into the workspace's own controls: the agent already handles MCP access, Bazaar packages and AGENTS.md instructions, and now edits snippets and writes plugins. Databases keep gaining structure while mind maps get steady polish. The product is becoming a local-first notes app that its own agent can reshape.
Fast, note-identical respins usually mean fix-only builds ahead of release, so expect a 3.8.7 stable tag soon. The entries don't show which agent capability comes after plugin authoring.

The focus is making Drive a file layer other apps call through the picker, while simplifying the core by removing lesser-used features. Patch betas like 1.107.1 fix layout details.
Expect 1.107 to stabilize and further picker and filter work in 1.108; more feature removals are plausible given the recent pattern.
