Workyard's Reporting Agent and Tanda's guided award builder turn plain language into workforce rules.
The week in hr-recruiting
Workforce-management products led with agents that build things from plain-language input. Workyard shipped a Reporting Agent that rebuilds the reports contractors send to owners and accountants, plus a plain-English overtime rule builder, and Tanda generates award rules from a guided form.
The recruiting side is about reuse and access. Teamtailor turned its candidate database into a sourcing pool inside every job, and Teamflect opened to AI assistants through MCP.
Leaders
Workyard had two sparks. The Reporting Agent takes an uploaded report or a description and produces it in the customer's format from live crew data. The overtime rule builder compiles a plain-English rule into structured configuration with a sample-week preview.
Ever Gauzy pushed its first production release since October 3, a single tag carrying about 3,700 commits, then kept shipping: v111.143.6 records mid-cycle plan changes before settlement so failed writes survive. The feed counted 35 improvements.
Tanda tracks rehires as separate employment periods, resetting tenure-based calculations such as long service, and builds custom award templates from a guided form.
Teamflect put an MCP integration in beta and added a Review Cycle View that lets calibrators review a whole cycle in one table.
Wildcards
Checkr added post-hire limited query for the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse and a clearer path to resolve incomplete driving history.
TriNet added AI answers for HR questions and embedded apps for spend, recruiting and leave in its October release, along with a Salesforce integration.
Themes that compounded
- Plain-language rule and report builders appeared in Workyard and Tanda.
- Rehire and reuse of existing records drove Teamtailor's candidate pool and Tanda's employment periods.
- Agent access arrived via Teamflect MCP and Workable, where AI Recruiting Agent emails can come from a team member's mailbox.
- Ashby added copy for custom agents and API-only edit locks on custom fields.
Watch this week
Watch for another Ever Gauzy production tag, since it moved from 111.138 to 111.144 in the window. Also watch whether Teamflect moves MCP out of beta, and whether Workyard extends its plain-English builders to other rule types.
