Tanda

HR
Velocity8.8

Tanda is shipping small, constantly, and most of this week's work is in reporting and payroll plumbing.

workforce-managementpayrollrosteringreportingcompliance
Current state
Tanda releases in a near-daily drip of narrow, well-scoped changes. The current cluster is dominated by reporting — custom reports can now be shared org-wide, columns and rows reorder and stay put, and a batch of new columns and filters landed across the payroll and rostering reports. Payroll gained unit-based earnings rates and a PAPDIS 1.1 export for UK pension providers, while the roster page got an admin toggle to hide unused features.
Where it's heading
The work is configuration depth rather than new surface: give admins switches, give reports structure, and cover country-specific payroll obligations as they come up. The UK pension export and the Australia-only SMS sender ID in the same week show a product widening regionally through compliance details, not through a single expansion push. The new roster layout is becoming the assumed baseline, since features are now being built only for it.
Prediction
Expect more of the same cadence — additional per-region payroll exports and further admin-level controls over what the new roster layout shows, with the older layout drifting further behind.

Recent moves

    Written Signatures for Documents

Documents can now require a hand-drawn signature placed at a chosen spot on the page, captured in the mobile app and written onto the stored file. It moves Tanda's document flow from acknowledgement to something closer to a signed record — useful for the compliance paperwork the payroll side keeps accumulating.

    Xero/MYOB Accounting Integrations Relocation

The Xero and MYOB integrations moved from Company Setup to a dedicated Accounting Integrations page that lists each company file and its connection status. A navigation change with no functional difference.

Tanda SMS Sender ID (AU Only)

Outbound SMS now shows TANDA as the sender rather than a generic number, rolling out gradually to Australian accounts. Cosmetic from the operator's side, though it makes shift messages easier for staff to recognise.

New report columns and filters across payroll and rostering

A batch of new columns and filters across seven reports — legal names on Employee Summary, payment dates on Activity Details, employee and leave-type filters on cost and roster reports, payroll ID on timesheets. Individually minor, collectively part of the reporting push running through this whole cluster.

    Unit-Based Earnings Rates

Earnings rates can be set in units rather than hours, keeping them out of total worked hours and into a separate Gross Earnings (Units) block on the payslip. A real payroll modelling gap closed for piece-rate and allowance-style pay.

    Hide Unused Roster Features

Admins can hide unused roster building features — patterns, templates, instant build, ratios — from the planning page and Actions menu. It is the configuration-depth pattern in miniature, and it ships only for the new roster layout.
