NetBird's second v0.82 candidate keeps the MySQL removal and deprecates Rosenpass.
NetBird is preparing v0.82 as a breaking release for self-hosters. Both candidates remove MySQL, require a migration to PostgreSQL, and move reverse-proxy access logs to their own store. rc.2 adds a Rosenpass deprecation notice with a replacement said to be in final testing, and tightens the SSH server: the root-login setting now applies to uid 0, and path-bearing locale, TERM and TZ values from clients are refused.
Rootly is systematically building an AI agent across the full incident lifecycle.
Rootly has shipped a steady stream of AI-driven incident management capabilities over the past six weeks: proactive related-incident detection, live call transcription with speaker labels, ServiceNow CMDB sync, Slack Canvas workflow integration, and the Rootly Agent extended to mobile. The through-line is consistent — reduce manual work at every stage of an incident without requiring responders to leave Slack.

After v0.81 focused on device trust through certificate posture checks, v0.82 is about the management plane's storage and on hardening the built-in SSH server. Deprecating Rosenpass signals a change in how NetBird approaches post-quantum key exchange, though the entries do not name the replacement.
Expect v0.82.0 final with the MySQL removal intact, and a later release introducing the Rosenpass replacement.

Rootly is building toward a complete AI agent for incident response: gather evidence automatically, transcribe every call, surface past incidents before anyone searches, sync your catalog, and update stakeholders in the channels they already use. The evidence-gathering feature (across observability, code, infra, feature flags, ticketing, and docs) released in late July is the architectural foundation — everything since layers on top of that read-only integration surface.
The next moves will likely deepen the AI agent's ability to act, not just observe — auto-drafting postmortems, suggesting runbook steps, or driving resolution workflows. The mobile footprint enables responders to act from anywhere, which opens use cases for on-call response speed.
