◆Current state
Jackett operates as a pure maintenance project, releasing once or twice daily to track domain changes, expired certificates, broken selectors, and category mapping updates across its tracker catalog. The v0.24.2601 release included a minor security improvement — hiding the API key on the dashboard by default. Beyond that, there are no new capabilities in recent memory.
◆Where it's heading
The trajectory is flat. Jackett exists to maintain compatibility with a constantly shifting tracker ecosystem, not to develop new features. The daily release cadence reflects the maintenance burden of tracking domain migrations and engine changes across hundreds of trackers. Occasional new tracker engines ship (linuxtracker gained a new engine in v0.24.2605), but these are catalog expansions, not platform changes.
