Incident management, on-call, and status page platform for engineering teams

incident.io keeps widening from on-call into a full incident workbench, now with a native Mac app.

Current state
incident.io ships weekly across the full incident lifecycle: on-call scheduling, alerting, escalations, and Insights reporting. The recent run leans into operational depth — shift swapping, team-based permissions, private alert data in Insights, and a bidirectional BigPanda integration — alongside a clear push to pull teams off PagerDuty and Opsgenie via dedicated migration tooling.
Where it's heading
The product is moving beyond its Slack-native roots. A public-beta macOS app lets responders debug without bouncing back into Slack, and an MCP Claude connector signals interest in agent-assisted incident work. Expect continued investment in reporting (Insights) and in the migration on-ramp aimed squarely at incumbent paging tools.
Prediction
Likely next moves: graduating the Mac app out of beta and extending the same standalone surface to mobile, plus deeper Insights coverage of the alert and escalation data it just unlocked.

    Shift swapping

Shift swapping, alert notes, and team-based permissions for alerts and escalations round out the on-call scheduling surface — the kind of operational control that matters to teams running large rotations.

Private alerts and escalations in Insights

Private alert and escalation data now flows into Insights, closing a reporting gap for sensitive incidents and reinforcing the analytics layer as a core part of the platform.

    incident.io for Mac

    ⚡ SPARK

A native macOS app in public beta marks incident.io stepping outside Slack as the primary interface, giving responders a dedicated surface to triage and debug.

    BigPanda integration

A bidirectional BigPanda integration keeps state synced between the two platforms, extending incident.io's reach into shops that already run event-correlation tooling upstream.

    New escalation options

New escalation options — paging the current on-call for a specific rota, syncing multiple schedules to Slack user groups — add precision to how teams route pages, fitting the steady on-call hardening of recent releases.

    Enhanced On-call readiness

On-call readiness Insights, on-call webhooks, and a Claude connector for the MCP all land together — incremental on their own, but collectively pointing at analytics-driven and agent-assisted incident response.
