SOGo
SOGo's 5.12.13 fixes its largest batch of vulnerabilities yet, some critical.
A side-by-side editorial comparison of Immich and Whereby — release velocity, themes, recent moves, and the top alternatives to consider.
Immich's 3.4 candidate adds passkeys and built-in backups.
Immich is in its v3.4 release-candidate cycle. rc.1 added passkey sign-in, built-in backups using restic's parallel scan, JPEG XL decoding and encoding, mobile tags and workflow filters, plus security fixes around shared links, partner timelines, symlinks and OAuth cookies; rc.2 on 4 November contains bug fixes only. The v3.3 cycle before it brought people management, TensorRT-RTX acceleration and lighter ML models.
Whereby folds three months into one digest and still lists nothing specific
Whereby's latest entry covers August through October in a single round-up, again framed around developer experience and SDKs, with no concrete features in the feed text. The last specific capabilities visible are session ratings for Embedded customers in April and the native iOS SDK leaving beta in February.

Each minor now runs through three or four public candidates before release. The 3.x line moved from discovery features (search, faces, memories) toward running Immich safely as a household's primary photo store: sharing controls, authentication and backups.
v3.4.0 stable should follow after one or two more candidates. Restoring from the new backups inside Immich is the natural follow-up if it isn't already part of 3.4.

The cadence is slowing: monthly digests have become a quarterly one, and the framing remains aimed at developers embedding video rather than meeting hosts. Without specifics in the notes, the direction can only be read from the framing, which points at SDK and embedding work.
The next entry is most likely another multi-month SDK round-up; the feed gives no signal of a larger launch.
