Open source media proxy for RTP and WebRTC, used with SIP servers

rtpengine backports the same DTLS and socket fixes across four maintenance branches at once.

◆Current state
Sipwise's rtpengine media proxy is maintaining several release lines in parallel (mr13.5, mr14.1, mr26.0, mr26.1, mr26.2), and most recent entries are coordinated backports. The September 16 batch fixes hash-table updates, nested string lookups and stop_forwarding mixups across four branches, and adds DTLS negotiation corrections (setup=actpass logic, ignoring incorrect DTLS=passive, keeping TLS IDs on answer role changes) to the mr26.0 and mr26.1 lines.
◆Where it's heading
The work is focused on correctness in media negotiation, especially DTLS role handling and ICE on closed sockets, rather than new features. The newest branch, mr26.2, also brought AMR fmtp defaults, mirroring of generated RTCP sender reports to Homer, and recording cleanup hardening, which points to better interop and observability for carrier deployments.
◆Prediction
More synchronized backport releases across the mr13.5 through mr26.2 lines are the clear pattern; feature work will most likely keep landing on mr26.2 first.

rtpengine mr13.5.1.27: mux-offer fix when required

A one-line follow-up on the older mr13.5 line that sets mux-offer when it is required. This is narrow backport upkeep, the day after the larger fix batch.

rtpengine mr26.0.1.23: DTLS negotiation and forwarding fixes

The mr26.0 line gets the full September batch: core lookup and forwarding fixes plus reworked DTLS setup handling and new early-DTLS tests. For WebRTC gateways this means fewer failed handshakes when peers send unusual DTLS roles.

rtpengine mr13.5.1.26: forwarding and socket bug fixes

The mr13.5 branch receives the core fixes from the batch (lookups, hash table, forwarding, unusable ports, ICE on closed sockets) without the DTLS rework. It is a stability backport for older deployments.

rtpengine mr26.2.1.2: core lookup and forwarding fixes

The newest branch picks up the shared core fixes and compiler-warning cleanup, keeping mr26.2 in step with the coordinated release.

rtpengine mr26.1.1.11: DTLS negotiation and forwarding fixes

Same scope as the mr26.0 release: core fixes plus combined DTLS/DTLS-reverse handling and better setup=actpass logic. It shows the DTLS rework being treated as worth backporting, not left for the newest line.

rtpengine mr26.2.1.1: Homer RTCP mirroring, AMR defaults, recording fixes

The first mr26.2 release brings AMR fmtp defaults, mirroring of generated RTCP sender reports to Homer, kernel-forwarding fixes for SRTP, and recording cleanup hardening. It is the branch where interop and observability work is landing.
