What is Hello Bar?

Hello Bar grows a second surface: on-page widgets alongside the popups.

Hello Bar builds popups, bars and lead-capture forms for websites, with targeting rules, triggers and email-provider integrations behind them. July was an unusually dense month: a gamification popup builder with spin, scratch and loot-box mechanics, video as a media option, a shared asset library, an expanded Salesforce integration, and a new Widgets category holding a chat launcher and an AI summary button. An automatic scheduling feature, Campaigns, has been announced but is still marked coming soon.

What is Pushwoosh?

Pushwoosh is wiring itself into the storefront it used to just message

The dated August batch gave SMS and WhatsApp the send events and standalone send path email already had, and let journeys consume webhook response data mid-run. A larger undated wave has landed since, and it points somewhere else: Shopify storefront event tracking pulls product views, add-to-cart and checkout steps in through the theme embed, YML joins the Product Catalog feed formats, and per-product clicks and revenue now appear in email statistics. Journey logic also grew more relative, with Condition split able to compare two attributes on the same user and to filter dates by days ago or ahead.

Hello Bar grows a second surface: on-page widgets alongside the popups.

◆ Current state

Hello Bar builds popups, bars and lead-capture forms for websites, with targeting rules, triggers and email-provider integrations behind them. July was an unusually dense month: a gamification popup builder with spin, scratch and loot-box mechanics, video as a media option, a shared asset library, an expanded Salesforce integration, and a new Widgets category holding a chat launcher and an AI summary button. An automatic scheduling feature, Campaigns, has been announced but is still marked coming soon.

◆ Where it's heading

Two directions are visible. The popup builder is being deepened toward conversion mechanics — reward logic, video media, reusable assets — which is where this category competes. The more interesting one is Widgets, which puts persistent elements on the page that are not popups at all, including a router into WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram, Telegram and SMS. Hello Bar is starting to sell presence on the page rather than interruptions on it.

◆ Prediction

Widgets launched with two entries and an explicit framing as a category, so the next move is more widgets rather than more popup types — a review, social proof or booking widget would fit the existing conversion pitch.

◆ Current state

The dated August batch gave SMS and WhatsApp the send events and standalone send path email already had, and let journeys consume webhook response data mid-run. A larger undated wave has landed since, and it points somewhere else: Shopify storefront event tracking pulls product views, add-to-cart and checkout steps in through the theme embed, YML joins the Product Catalog feed formats, and per-product clicks and revenue now appear in email statistics. Journey logic also grew more relative, with Condition split able to compare two attributes on the same user and to filter dates by days ago or ahead.

◆ Where it's heading

Two projects are converging. The channel-parity work is close to finished, with SMS and WhatsApp now carrying the events, standalone sends and attribution that email had. The newer and more consequential one is commerce: having added a Product Catalog, Pushwoosh is now collecting the storefront behaviour that catalog is meant to act on and reporting revenue back per product. That gives it the ingest, the data and the measurement for the commerce loop rather than only the send step in the middle of it. Journey conditions are meanwhile shifting from fixed comparisons toward per-user relative ones.

◆ Prediction

With storefront events arriving and catalog data in place, triggered abandoned-cart and browse-abandonment journeys built on those events are the obvious next assembly. Expect the Shopify path to be generalised to other storefronts, since the catalog feed formats already are.
