What is Greenshift?

Greenshift's arc: from a Gutenberg block pack to a full builder, now spun out white-label.

Greenshift is a Gutenberg-native block and page-builder plugin. The visible entries span 2023 to 2025 and show it maturing from a block collection into a full builder (class system, StyleBook, variable builder, interaction APIs) while branching into WooCommerce commerce blocks and, most recently, a white-label standalone (GreenLight). The feed mixes real release notes with the occasional editorial post.

What is Lyssna?

Lyssna is unbundling its participant panel from its test builder, then went quiet after June.

Lyssna publishes a monthly digest, and the crawled record runs January through June 2026 before stopping. The visible work splits between the interview workflow, which gained per-session Google Meet links, screener answers on calendar events and rescheduling limits, and the test builder, which picked up autosave, hybrid card sorting, question previews and customizable screener messages. May's Labs release is the outlier: third-party studies let customers recruit Lyssna panel participants for unmoderated research run on other platforms.

Greenshift vs Lyssna: editorial side-by-side

G0.0

Greenshift's arc: from a Gutenberg block pack to a full builder, now spun out white-label.

◆ Current state

Greenshift is a Gutenberg-native block and page-builder plugin. The visible entries span 2023 to 2025 and show it maturing from a block collection into a full builder (class system, StyleBook, variable builder, interaction APIs) while branching into WooCommerce commerce blocks and, most recently, a white-label standalone (GreenLight). The feed mixes real release notes with the occasional editorial post.

◆ Where it's heading

The direction is twofold: deepen the builder (filter blocks, animation chains, Anchor and Scroll APIs) and widen distribution by packaging the block set for agencies to resell under their own brand. The editorial defense of Gutenberg signals a firm bet on the native block editor over third-party builders.

◆ Prediction

GreenLight suggests the next moves center on the agency and white-label market plus continued builder parity. Note the newest entry is July 2025, so this feed is roughly a year stale and likely misses more recent releases.

Lyssna is unbundling its participant panel from its test builder, then went quiet after June.

◆ Current state

Lyssna publishes a monthly digest, and the crawled record runs January through June 2026 before stopping. The visible work splits between the interview workflow, which gained per-session Google Meet links, screener answers on calendar events and rescheduling limits, and the test builder, which picked up autosave, hybrid card sorting, question previews and customizable screener messages. May's Labs release is the outlier: third-party studies let customers recruit Lyssna panel participants for unmoderated research run on other platforms.

◆ Where it's heading

Two things move at once here. The unmoderated test builder is being matured, with autosave, previews, RTL support and bulk transcript export closing gaps rather than opening ground. The more consequential shift is the panel separating from the tooling: if researchers can buy Lyssna participants for studies hosted elsewhere, the panel becomes a business rather than a feature. AI follow-up questions already exist and appear only in bug-fix lines, so that surface is established, not expanding.

◆ Prediction

If third-party studies graduate out of Labs, expect panel recruitment to acquire its own pricing and quota controls separate from test subscriptions. The two-month silence since June leaves the near-term roadmap unreadable.
