Salesmsg ships weekly, and the last two months have gone almost entirely into the AI calling and texting agents. August built the handoff path first — escalation to a human, transfer notifications, AI summaries of why a call moved — and then extended the agent's reach into the contact record with automatic post-call notes and intent-based tagging. Alongside the agent work it has bundled in two adjacent tools, Reviews in late July and NPS surveys in mid-August, both delivered over the SMS channel it already owns.

Each agent release adds one more thing the agent can do without a person: first send an SMS, then transfer a call, now write the notes and apply the tags afterward. The KPI work shipping alongside it — Resolved, Transferred, Abandoned — suggests the constraint is no longer capability but customer trust that the agent handled the call correctly. Actions are converging on a single prompt-level interface, inserted by slash command, rather than separate configuration screens.

The next step in this line is letting the agent write to CRM fields rather than just notes and tags, most likely through the HubSpot and Salesforce integrations it already ships. Expect the outcome KPIs to gain per-agent comparison as more accounts run several agents at once.
