Agent access is now the default feature; GitHub bundles Copilot and Salesforce buys Cresta.

The lead

The largest commercial moves of the day are about who pays for AI, not what it can do. At Universe on October 28, GitHub made Copilot Fusion generally available, so one task can be routed across several models, and said enterprises working with an account team can now get Copilot included for every Enterprise user instead of licensing it separately. Pricing outside those account-team deals is not yet clear from the entries.

Salesforce is buying rather than building. Salesforce has signed its third acquisition in two weeks, Cresta for contact-center voice agents, after Braze and Rune Technologies. Shipped product news in between is thin: Agent Evals in Agent Fabric is the only capability. The deal-closing dates are not in the feed.

What moved

  • Agents get a place to run. Bitbucket made Agentic Pipelines generally available on all paid Cloud plans. GitLab made Orbit generally available, a queryable graph of code, pipelines, findings and ownership for agents and security teams.
  • MCP servers keep spreading to ordinary software. Breakdance 3.0 and Oxygen 6.2 left beta with MCP servers, so Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor can build WordPress sites. Kittl, Mentimeter, PhotoPrism, Appfigures and SE Ranking have also opened product surfaces to assistants. Axure runs a local MCP server inside its desktop app, still labeled experimental.
  • Agents that act, and show their work. Whatagraph IQ Agents watch ad accounts and act through MCP in Meta, Asana and HubSpot. Count added Reasoning Chains linking each claim to its cells and assumptions. Stigg made Usage Governance generally available on all plans, with limits that cover AI agents.
  • Security releases carry a lot of the volume. Mautic patched remote code execution in campaign import across three branches. Kata Containers 4.3 fixed a guest-to-host escape. PgBouncer 1.26.1 fixed a SCRAM flaw that let a known user log in as any other, admins included. modauthopenidc 2.4.20.4 closed a provider-to-host command path.
  • Vendors retreating from bundled AI. 3CX is retiring its cloud transcription in January 2027 and asking customers to bring their own AI.

Sectors today

  • Devtools (92 products): agent runtimes and security patches dominate, led by Bitbucket, GitLab and the infrastructure fixes above.
  • Development (51): GitHub's Copilot terms are the sector's one commercial change; the rest is release and patch work.
  • Analytics (39): Count and Whatagraph both put an agent in front of the data, one stressing traceability and the other action.
  • Collaboration (33): PhotoPrism's MCP tools and GitHub and GitLab cover most of the signal.
  • Communication-messaging (30): mostly maintenance; 3CX is the one strategic shift.
  • Marketing and marketing-automation (21 and 19): Mautic's patches and SE Ranking's API and MCP coverage.
  • Design (15): Breakdance, Oxygen, Kittl and Axure all expose their tools to agents.
  • CRM (13): Salesforce's acquisition run is the whole story.

Watch tomorrow

Three threads. First, 436 products were refreshed, but most carry improvement-class entries, so treat the sparks as the signal. Second, the MCP wave: Axure's servers are still alpha or experimental, PhotoPrism's tools are read-only search, and Breakdance and Oxygen expect 3.0.x and 6.2.x patches for MCP and WooCommerce fixes. Third, GitHub's pricing detail and whether Salesforce says anything on closing timing for the Cresta deal. Bitbucket has said more runner types are coming.
