Breakdance launched version 3.0 with direct AI agent integration: an AI agent can now create pages, templates, headers, footers, responsive styles, and dynamic data connections within Breakdance. The releases immediately following (2.8.2 and 2.8.3) patched a security vulnerability in the Design Library import flow and then the regression introduced by the patch. The product is clearly in a post-major-release stabilization mode while the 3.0 AI feature matures.

Breakdance is following Oxygen in making AI agent control of the builder a first-class feature. The 2.8 series brought multi-element selection, variable fonts, and PHP 8.4 support — table stakes for a modern page builder. The jump to 3.0 on AI integration suggests the team sees agentic site building as a new product tier, not just a feature add-on.
