Oxygen 6.1 lands the feature drop, then settles into beta-to-stable cleanup.

◆Current state
Oxygen is stabilizing the 6.1 line after its May feature release, with 6.1.1 clearing post-launch regressions. The feed also shows tail-end maintenance on the legacy 4.9.x branch, so two generations are being kept alive in parallel.
◆Where it's heading
The product completed its ground-up rebuild on the Breakdance engine (Oxygen 6.0) and is now iterating on it, shipping shared capabilities like multi-element selection, variable fonts, and PHP 8.4 support that mirror Breakdance's own releases. The rhythm is a big feature version followed by a long beta/RC/patch tail.
◆Prediction
Expect continued 6.1.x maintenance and eventual wind-down of the 4.9.x legacy branch as users are pushed onto the 6.x engine.
