Apps are getting the full lifecycle — publish to npm, claim ownership, submit for marketplace review, install and upgrade per workspace via CLI, and be billed differently from user-authored logic. Dashboard widgets gaining kanban and calendar view types points the same way: the surface is becoming composable by others. Operational work like ClickHouse insert tuning and cross-pod recompute fixes suggests self-hosters and larger workspaces are now real load.

Expect the marketplace to reach general availability with discovery and install flows in the product UI, plus the review pipeline that the ownership-claim work presupposes. The remaining gap is app permissions and data scoping, which nothing in these releases addresses yet.

The product is moving from a booking form toward a scheduler that owns the whole appointment, including where it takes place. The 1.6.0 changelog is cumulative and barely changes between alpha.1, beta.1 and beta.2 — the feature set landed in February and the two betas since have been stabilization passes. The preceding 1.5.x work was almost entirely fixes and permission tightening, which makes 1.6.0 the first feature-bearing cycle in over a year.
