What is Tanda?

Tanda is moving from telling Australian payroll what to pay to actually moving the money

Tanda is a workforce management platform for Australian employers, shipping several times a week across three lanes: award compliance templates the vendor maintains, rostering and timesheet UI, and payroll output. The compliance lane is the steadiest — managed templates keep arriving for individual modern awards, each encoding that award's specific overtime, break and shiftwork clauses, and Fair Work rate decisions are propagated into existing templates. Rostering is mid-redesign, with the roster splitting out of Time & Attendance into its own planning page.

What is Teamflect?

Teamflect keeps grinding on the parts of performance review nobody demos.

Teamflect is a Microsoft-native performance management suite, and its releases read as a steady deepening of administration rather than new surfaces. Recent months have gone to deadline enforcement on feedback, scoped-admin rules with AND conditions, goal approval flows and succession-plan ownership. The two newest entries carry that into the review cycle itself: pending actions are now organised by the role you hold in each review, and existing goals can be pulled into a review instead of retyped. The AI analysis on 360 results from June remains the only recent release that added a capability rather than tightening one.

Tanda vs Teamflect: editorial side-by-side

T7.5

Tanda is moving from telling Australian payroll what to pay to actually moving the money

◆ Current state

Tanda is a workforce management platform for Australian employers, shipping several times a week across three lanes: award compliance templates the vendor maintains, rostering and timesheet UI, and payroll output. The compliance lane is the steadiest — managed templates keep arriving for individual modern awards, each encoding that award's specific overtime, break and shiftwork clauses, and Fair Work rate decisions are propagated into existing templates. Rostering is mid-redesign, with the roster splitting out of Time & Attendance into its own planning page.

◆ Where it's heading

The significant move is at the payroll edge. Tanda has historically ended its pay run by producing a file for someone else to bank; PayTo disbursements over the New Payments Platform, currently with a very small group, make Tanda the thing that pays the staff. Around that, bulk operations are spreading through HR admin — terminations now join the other bulk actions — and journal exports keep adding accounting destinations. The award template library is the moat being widened one award at a time.

◆ Prediction

Expect PayTo to widen from its small pilot toward general AU Payroll availability, with the approval workflow as the gate employers ask for, and the managed template library to keep absorbing awards at roughly the current pace.

T5.0

Teamflect keeps grinding on the parts of performance review nobody demos.

◆ Current state

Teamflect is a Microsoft-native performance management suite, and its releases read as a steady deepening of administration rather than new surfaces. Recent months have gone to deadline enforcement on feedback, scoped-admin rules with AND conditions, goal approval flows and succession-plan ownership. The two newest entries carry that into the review cycle itself: pending actions are now organised by the role you hold in each review, and existing goals can be pulled into a review instead of retyped. The AI analysis on 360 results from June remains the only recent release that added a capability rather than tightening one.

◆ Where it's heading

The product is being built for the administrator who runs a cycle across a large organisation, not the employee who fills in a form once a year. Scoping, ordering, locking and approval are the recurring verbs, and each new setting arrives disabled by default for existing templates so running cycles are undisturbed. The Goals and Reviews modules are visibly converging, with this release the first time an object created in one is selectable inside the other.

◆ Prediction

The goals-into-reviews link is one-directional today, so the plausible next step is the return path — goals agreed in a review flowing back as tracked objects with the same admin-defined type restrictions.
