Syncthing
Syncthing 2.1.7 hits a fourth release candidate as fixes move from protocol to sync logic.
A side-by-side editorial comparison of Hive and Twake Drive — release velocity, themes, recent moves, and the top alternatives to consider.
Hive gives clients a passwordless portal for every proof waiting on them, across companies.
Hive keeps shipping weekly batches for professional-services and creative teams. The Oct 21 batch adds an External Review Portal where clients and vendors see every pending proof from every Hive company they work with, a Map widget that plots project and action locations next to people, personal per-assignee reminders in a unified Dates field, and collapsible media in chat. It follows Buzz as an AI approver and Forms launched from workflow buttons.
Twake Drive's second 1.108 beta makes OnlyOffice PDF editing opt-in and adds picker views.
Twake Drive ships beta releases every few weeks. 1.108.0-beta.1 was its largest in months, adding nested sharing, in-app invitations, a rebuilt move dialog, an optional AI writing assistant, OnlyOffice PDF opening and Twake Space embedding. beta.2 adds list and grid views to the file picker, opens PDFs in the standard viewer by default with OnlyOffice editing only when enabled, limits the writing assistant's ready message to Drive, and fixes shared-drive invitation declines.

Proofing is turning into Hive's outward-facing surface: approvals already took an AI stage, and now external reviewers get their own login-light home, upload rights and a request-approval flow of their own. Inside the workspace, the work is about cutting per-person friction (own reminders, focused chat, location-aware dashboards) rather than adding new modules.
Expect the portal to pick up more reviewer-side actions, possibly Buzz review for externally uploaded files, since reviewers can now upload and request approval from their own teams; the entries don't show pricing or seat rules for external reviewers.

The file picker work of the summer now shows up inside Drive and for connected apps. With Twake Space embedding and an AI assistant behind flags, Drive is becoming one component of a broader workspace suite; beta.2 pulling back the OnlyOffice PDF default shows the team tuning those additions before a stable release.
Expect further 1.108 betas fixing sharing and picker details before a stable 1.108; the entries don't show when the AI assistant will be enabled by default.
