HelloID is retiring old APIs and tightening data rules ahead of larger business-rule limits.
HelloID's 2026.10 and 2026.11 cycles are mostly fixes, plus a few changes that matter to admins: the Product Ownership API endpoints are gone, custom field names must be unique regardless of case, and business-rule previews now refresh manually. A task-state filter helps find failed or pending product requests.
Cells 5.1 gives tag values their own access policies, and 5.1.1 makes them hold up.
v5.1.0 added access policies for Entity Values, the metadata store v5 introduced, with dedicated CRUD endpoints and an admin flag that stops end users adding new tag values. v5.1.1 follows five weeks later with fixes for that same feature: the restrict-values toggle on TagCloud now switches off, and policy-group caching is safe under concurrent access. The 4.4 branch still gets occasional maintenance releases alongside v5.

The changes clear the way for bigger deployments: the manual-refresh change explicitly prepares for higher business-rule limits, and the field-name rule prevents PowerShell target conflicts. Expect provisioning scale to be the next focus.
A higher limit on business rules is the most likely next visible change, since the manual-refresh change was made to prepare for it.

The v5 line has moved from post-launch stabilisation to filling out its metadata and permissions model, and each feature release is followed by a hardening pass on the same code. The releases point toward admins getting finer control over metadata, not toward new end-user features.
Expect more 5.1.x patches on policy and metadata performance before a 5.2 adds the next admin control. The entries do not show when the 4.4 branch will stop getting maintenance releases.
