What is Document360?

Document360 opens its knowledge base wider: per-user Zendesk sign-in, feedback APIs and MCP.

Document360 ships a knowledge-base release almost every week. 12.11.1 lets Zendesk agents sign in with their own accounts, exposes article and Eddy AI feedback through new API endpoints, and extends MCP. The October releases added Eddy AI summaries of version differences and source citations in AI answers.

What is Pydio Cells?

Cells 5.1 gives tag values their own access policies, and 5.1.1 makes them hold up.

v5.1.0 added access policies for Entity Values, the metadata store v5 introduced, with dedicated CRUD endpoints and an admin flag that stops end users adding new tag values. v5.1.1 follows five weeks later with fixes for that same feature: the restrict-values toggle on TagCloud now switches off, and policy-group caching is safe under concurrent access. The 4.4 branch still gets occasional maintenance releases alongside v5.

Document360 vs Pydio Cells: editorial side-by-side

D5.0

Document360 opens its knowledge base wider: per-user Zendesk sign-in, feedback APIs and MCP.

◆ Current state

Document360 ships a knowledge-base release almost every week. 12.11.1 lets Zendesk agents sign in with their own accounts, exposes article and Eddy AI feedback through new API endpoints, and extends MCP. The October releases added Eddy AI summaries of version differences and source citations in AI answers.

◆ Where it's heading

The product is making its content and AI signals available to other tools: help desks, APIs and AI clients through MCP. Eddy AI keeps getting review and trust features rather than new generation features.

◆ Prediction

More MCP tools and integrations with support desks are the likely next releases, on the weekly cadence.

P5.0

Cells 5.1 gives tag values their own access policies, and 5.1.1 makes them hold up.

◆ Current state

v5.1.0 added access policies for Entity Values, the metadata store v5 introduced, with dedicated CRUD endpoints and an admin flag that stops end users adding new tag values. v5.1.1 follows five weeks later with fixes for that same feature: the restrict-values toggle on TagCloud now switches off, and policy-group caching is safe under concurrent access. The 4.4 branch still gets occasional maintenance releases alongside v5.

◆ Where it's heading

The v5 line has moved from post-launch stabilisation to filling out its metadata and permissions model, and each feature release is followed by a hardening pass on the same code. The releases point toward admins getting finer control over metadata, not toward new end-user features.

◆ Prediction

Expect more 5.1.x patches on policy and metadata performance before a 5.2 adds the next admin control. The entries do not show when the 4.4 branch will stop getting maintenance releases.
