Filestage shipped Intake Forms in February as the structural move of the recent batch — letting teams capture creative requests directly inside Filestage, auto-spawn projects, and route uploads into the review workflow. Surrounding releases polish the reviewer experience with voice-to-text feedback, side-by-side file comparison (early access), comment labels, and creative-specific tooling like video safe zones and a Photoshop plugin. Kittl spent the early summer rebuilding how work starts. Agentic AI took over the decisions that used to sit with the user — what to prompt, which model, what format and style — and AI Workflows followed with hundreds of prepared flows so the common cases skip prompting entirely. Alongside that, Apps turned the editor into a container for Pinterest, Dropbox and Printful, and the Monotype partnership brings customers' own licensed font libraries inside. Weekly releases in June filled in the craft layer: brand kits, edit-area retouching, character and scene consistency for video.

Each release tightens what would otherwise spill into Asana, Wrike, or a separate intake form. The bet is that creative teams want one product for the entire ask-to-approve lifecycle, not three.

Watch for the intake side to gain templating and routing logic — conditional fields, request-to-team mapping, SLA triggers — turning intake from a form into a workflow engine. Voice feedback's AI summary capability is also likely to expand into auto-summary of long video review sessions.

Two moves are running together. Kittl is removing the prompt as the interface, betting that most users want an outcome rather than a model and a settings panel — and it is pulling the surrounding workflow inside the editor rather than letting users leave for it. The Monotype and Brands work points the same direction as both: toward customers who need output to be on-brand and licensed, not just fast, which is a more durable buyer than the hobbyist the AI features attract on their own.
◆ Prediction
Expect the Apps panel to keep adding partners on the Pinterest and Printful pattern, and expect more of the AI surface to be folded into named workflows rather than exposed as model choices. The entries do not say how AI Workflows is priced against credits, which is the open question given credit exhaustion is the pain the launch cites.
