Separately, the mobile SDKs shipped in lockstep — iOS 4.27.0 and Android 4.26.0 both add configurable live playback latency alongside advertising and component modernization.

Wowza is repositioning a media server as infrastructure for operational video, where the buyer is a facility or agency rather than a broadcaster. Note that cadence here measures blog output, not releases, so velocity reads higher than the shipping rate warrants.
Expect the VIF campaign to keep running ahead of the product, and for the next concrete move to be packaged detection models or customer-trained model support — the "train your own model" post reads as demand-testing for exactly that.

The vertical work is arriving as a complete surface rather than a player option — display mode first, then localization for its discovery UI, which is what you build when publishers are expected to ship it to real audiences. Underneath, the platform keeps hardening the parts broadcasters care about: latency control for live, versioned media through the Management API, and centralized key-value pairs for ad and content rules.
Expect the vertical experience to keep accumulating the pieces publishers need before rollout — analytics and monetization for the short-form surface — given localization already followed the display mode within days.
