Qandle vs Envoy

Envoy's changelog runs three parallel product lines — Visitors, Workplace, and Screens — and July's work pushed each toward less manual administration. Deliveries became a first-class Developer API resource with create, manage, and retrieve endpoints. HRIS directory sync now treats Workday, BambooHR, ADP, or Paylocity as the source of truth for the employee directory. The maps got drag-and-drop editing, cross-floor desk moves, and SVG/PNG export, while the kiosk gained a printer diagnostics page and customizable pending or denied screens.

The platform is being wired at both ends: outward through APIs and HR system syncs so Envoy stops being a directory that someone maintains by hand, and downward into the physical hardware — printers, signage sticks, Wi-Fi provisioning — so the front desk needs less intervention. The Arista Wi-Fi integration and the Amazon Signage Stick support point the same way, replacing shared credentials and AV setup with something that provisions itself.

With deliveries now in the API and HR systems feeding the directory, the remaining manual surface is reporting and access policy, so expect more API coverage across visitor and workplace records rather than new front-of-house features.
