3CX is turning the phone system into an AI agent host rather than a system that calls out to one. Native MCP means external assistants reach the PBX's data directly; a dedicated AI server means customers who cannot send call content to a hosted model can still run agents. Taken with Markdown knowledge sources and emailed transcripts, the shape is a self-hostable voice agent with its own grounding and its own output channel — consistent with 3CX's on-premises and privacy-sensitive base.
