Delta Lake
Delta Lake's public stream is release mechanics; Kernel builds now carry a 4.5.0 label.
A side-by-side editorial comparison of Microsoft Clarity and MotherDuck — release velocity, themes, recent moves, and the top alternatives to consider.
Clarity pitches one view of agents, LLM referrals and human visitors.
Microsoft Clarity has spent the year on AI visibility: citation topics, branded vs non-branded query splits, scrape-to-referral attribution, custom brand terms and page-type classification for bots. A November 4 post frames the product as covering three journeys at once: AI agents acting on a site, LLMs recommending it, and people browsing it. The post's feed excerpt names agent activity and faster answers from site data but gives no release details.
MotherDuck rebuilds its UI so the first thing you see is an agent, not a SQL editor.
MotherDuck ships a weekly changelog. The November 3 release redesigns the UI around Agent Chat: Home opens with a prompt where the agent answers questions, loads data with Flights, saves context in Guides and builds Dives, with confirmation before destructive operations. Admins can enable web search for the agent, Agent Chat runs inside Dive presentation mode, and Enterprise orgs get one login across linked organizations. October filled out governance with row- and column-level security and Flight run grants.

The October study of 5.2 million AI-powered sessions has become positioning: Clarity is moving from measuring AI crawlers to measuring agents that click and buy. Analytics on agent behavior is the next layer on top of its AI visibility dashboards.
Expect a concrete agent-activity report or dashboard with documented fields; the feed excerpt does not confirm whether one has shipped yet.

The arc runs from SQL warehouse to agent-driven data app platform: Flights went GA, Dives gained write-back, Agent Chat learned to build Dives, and now the agent is the front door. Governance work runs in parallel so the agent operates inside admin controls. AI pricing is moving too, with cheaper OpenAI-backed functions and billing for prompt_jev().
Expect Agent Chat to gain more admin controls and usage-based pricing detail, given web search and the agent both ship as admin toggles on paid plans. SQL-first features will likely keep arriving behind the agent rather than ahead of it.
