Insightly vs Streak

The arc that dominates this window is agent access: an MCP server that could read the pipeline gained write capability in June, and in August Streak landed in Claude's connector directory so attaching the CRM takes one click instead of pasting a server URL. Around that, the product work is steady and unremarkable in a good way — validation rules now apply in the mobile apps, the pipeline newsfeed gained person and event-type filters, live avatars show who is looking at a deal, and the saved view editor now suggests common filters before you type.

Two ideas run through everything here. One is that the pipeline should be answerable in conversation rather than navigated; the other is that a CRM is only as good as the data reps actually enter, which is why validation followed the reps onto mobile and why the newsfeed keeps an auditable history. Notably, both the collaboration and newsfeed notes point at watching how AI works a deal, which reads as Streak preparing the same surfaces to show agent activity alongside human activity.

The likeliest next move is agent work becoming visible inside the existing collaboration surfaces — the newsfeed and viewing indicators already hint at it — rather than another expansion of what the MCP server can do.
