Mautic
Mautic patches remote code execution in campaign import across three supported branches.
A side-by-side editorial comparison of Hunter and n8n — release velocity, themes, recent moves, and the top alternatives to consider.
Hunter moves prospecting into AI assistants, with a ChatGPT app and MCP setup for every client.
Hunter is an email-finding and outreach platform. Its late-September releases put the product inside AI assistants: a ChatGPT app on every plan including Free, native setups for Claude, Gemini and Perplexity, and a hosted MCP server for Cursor and other clients. Saved searches now flag new matching companies. Earlier in the year it built out Sequences with A/B testing, managed domains and inbox warm-up.
n8n's week after 3.0: patches on three lines, and a migration report that gets more useful.
n8n is patching three lines at once after 3.0: 2.46.x, 2.45.x and 1.123.x all took releases on Oct 29 and 30. The shared fixes close access gaps, requiring execution:read on workflow-scoped routes and a signed token to accept invitations. 2.46 also carries the visible work: resolution guidance on migration rules, workflow projects in the report, and fairer job handout to idle queue workers.

Hunter is splitting into two surfaces: Sequences as a full outbound stack (provisioning, warm-up, pacing, testing) and the data layer exposed to assistants through MCP. Metrics changes such as recipient-based engagement rates apply to the API and MCP tools too, so both surfaces stay in step.
Expect more of the Sequences workflow reachable from assistants, since the ChatGPT app already launches sequences while ChatGPT limits email-finding requests there.

The two-track transition continues, with new features for moving off 2.x landing on 2.46 rather than on 3.0. Most patches now fall into two groups, security backports across every supported line and migration-report polish, which suggests n8n is working to get self-hosters across before it slows older lines.
Expect more migration-report additions in 2.46.x and matching security backports to 2.45 and 1.123 within days; the entries don't show when 2.x stops getting minors.
