Mautic
Mautic patches remote code execution in campaign import across three supported branches.
A side-by-side editorial comparison of Hunter and MailerLite — release velocity, themes, recent moves, and the top alternatives to consider.
Hunter moves prospecting into AI assistants, with a ChatGPT app and MCP setup for every client.
Hunter is an email-finding and outreach platform. Its late-September releases put the product inside AI assistants: a ChatGPT app on every plan including Free, native setups for Claude, Gemini and Perplexity, and a hosted MCP server for Cursor and other clients. Saved searches now flag new matching companies. Earlier in the year it built out Sequences with A/B testing, managed domains and inbox warm-up.
MailerLite lets AI assistants build full automations as Shopify and import tools fill out.
The MCP server now covers whole automations: an assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT can switch them on or off, add condition and A/B split steps, set re-entry rules and pull performance stats. Shopify stores gained the Abandoned cart trigger on 15 October, for shoppers identified through MailerLite forms or email links. The rest of October went to data quality: imports that suggest custom fields and map columns to groups, and reports that show temporary delivery failures instead of counting them as sent.

Hunter is splitting into two surfaces: Sequences as a full outbound stack (provisioning, warm-up, pacing, testing) and the data layer exposed to assistants through MCP. Metrics changes such as recipient-based engagement rates apply to the API and MCP tools too, so both surfaces stay in step.
Expect more of the Sequences workflow reachable from assistants, since the ChatGPT app already launches sequences while ChatGPT limits email-finding requests there.

Two summer threads continue. AI access has moved from a directory listing and an agent skill to operating the automation builder, so the assistant is becoming a second interface to the product. Shopify depth keeps growing after two-way sync, now with cart recovery. The import changes share one rule: MailerLite suggests, and nothing is created until the user approves it.
Expect more of the product to become reachable through the MCP server, since each release widens what an assistant can change. The entries don't show whether Shopify cart recovery will reach other store platforms.
