What is Hiver?

Gmail-based support tooling wiring internal docs into its AI and unifying search across channels

Hiver's April releases center on grounding its AI in a company's own material. Confluence pages, Google Docs and Google Sheets can be added as knowledge sources, and Ask AI can query an uploaded Sheet directly — answering questions like top customers by revenue without manual analysis. Alongside that, Omnichannel Search spans email, chat and Slack with unified results and channel attribution, and automations gained a trigger for conversations moved into a shared inbox. Each release appears twice in the feed.

What is ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus?

AI assist is spreading edition by edition and region by region, one data center at a time.

ServiceDesk Plus Cloud is rolling out three AI assistants on parallel tracks: Workflow Assist reached all editions and can now build workflows from attached images, Resolution Assist began drafting from similar resolved requests, and Zia — Zoho's own hosted LLM — became an available AI provider in the Singapore data center. Alongside that, the chat surfaces widened: Teams access opened in the UAE data center in late June, Slack across nearly all data centers at month end with new slash commands. The rest is routine cleanup — clearer integration error messages, a hover bug in Notifications, a change-scheduler overlap toggle.

Gmail-based support tooling wiring internal docs into its AI and unifying search across channels

◆ Current state

Hiver's April releases center on grounding its AI in a company's own material. Confluence pages, Google Docs and Google Sheets can be added as knowledge sources, and Ask AI can query an uploaded Sheet directly — answering questions like top customers by revenue without manual analysis. Alongside that, Omnichannel Search spans email, chat and Slack with unified results and channel attribution, and automations gained a trigger for conversations moved into a shared inbox. Each release appears twice in the feed.

◆ Where it's heading

The product is extending past the shared-inbox job into being the place a support agent finds any answer. Knowledge sources make the AI useful on internal SOPs rather than generic replies; omnichannel search makes prior context findable regardless of where the conversation happened. Both reduce the reasons an agent leaves Gmail, which is the whole premise Hiver sells on.

◆ Prediction

Expect more knowledge source connectors on the pattern set by Drive and Confluence, since the Sheets query capability shows the ingestion path already handles structured as well as prose content.

M5.0

AI assist is spreading edition by edition and region by region, one data center at a time.

◆ Current state

◆ Where it's heading

Two rollouts are running at once, and both are gated by geography rather than engineering. AI features are being enabled data center by data center because the model hosting has to land locally first, and chat integrations follow the same map with named exceptions. That makes the interesting number not what shipped but where it is available: the same capability arrives in Singapore months before it arrives elsewhere. Underneath, the direction is a help desk where the agent-facing work — writing resolutions, building workflows, summarizing them for governance — is drafted rather than typed.

◆ Prediction

Expect Zia to be enabled in further data centers on the same one-at-a-time cadence, and the remaining Slack exclusions (UAE, INEC, CN) to close the way the Teams rollout did.
