Exoscale
Exoscale lets customers keep their own encryption keys outside its cloud.
A side-by-side editorial comparison of GitLab and Zeebe — release velocity, themes, recent moves, and the top alternatives to consider.
GitLab is turning its platform into the context layer agents and security teams query, not just a code host.
GitLab's recent output centers on Orbit, now generally available, which links code, merge requests, pipelines, security findings and ownership in one queryable graph. The pitch runs on two tracks: agents get platform context instead of guessing from diffs, and security teams get vulnerability blast radius from a single query. Around that, GitLab is publishing remediation playbooks for third-party CVEs and positioning on regulatory themes like EU sovereignty.
Zeebe ships its first 8.11 alpha, led by job-worker reliability fixes
Zeebe, Camunda's workflow engine, has published 8.11.0-alpha1 while 8.10 moves through patch releases. The alpha's main fixes target Java client job workers that stopped polling or let batches expire at maxJobsActive, and it adds cluster secrets in managed mode, a public upgrade-completeness API and Oracle Data Guard replication-lag monitoring. Optimize patches on the 8.6 and 8.7 lines continue alongside.

The direction is clear: GitLab wants the data it already holds about the software lifecycle to be the input every agent, including outside ones, depends on. Duo Agent Platform is stretching beyond the IDE into business systems, and governance features are being framed around supervising agent activity. Security is the lead use case for selling that context.
Expect Orbit to surface inside more Duo agents and security workflows, likely with remediation steps that act on the blast-radius answers it returns. The sovereignty post hints at deployment and data-residency messaging, but the entries don't show a concrete product move there yet.

The 8.11 cycle is starting with operational hardening rather than new modeling features: worker capacity handling, secrets, upgrade checks and database replication monitoring. That points to a release aimed at teams running Zeebe at scale in self-managed clusters.
Expect further 8.11 alphas on a roughly monthly cadence and an 8.10 patch release from the 8.10.7 candidate. Whether 8.11 brings larger user-facing features is not yet visible in the entries.
