Kitsu
Kitsu ships weekly production-management updates, from per-show roles to a new Kanban board.
A side-by-side editorial comparison of GanttPRO and Wakapi — release velocity, themes, recent moves, and the top alternatives to consider.
GanttPRO ships a quarter's worth of features at a time, filed as blog tutorials.
This feed announces product changes as how-to posts, naming the feature after the colon. The last ones that clearly announced features, dashboard export with portfolio invitations and a rebuilt list view, landed on 4 August. The October posts are a how-to on custom colours that doesn't say whether the feature is new, and a buy-versus-build article for enterprise Gantt tools. Earlier in the year came a shared board-view link, table reports and an AI Gantt chart maker.
Wakapi tightens API key scope and fixes double-counted AI agent time.
Wakapi's 2.18 line opened with security and data fixes: API keys now authorize only /api endpoints (a breaking change), permission checks on the filtered stats endpoint were fixed, and AI agent thinking time was being counted twice, which needs summary regeneration to correct. 2.18.1 fixed slow SQLite charts and an unresponsive server during aggregation, and 2.18.2 adds a heartbeats index that can take hours to build on large tables.

Two threads run through the recent work. One is giving people outside the project a way in: shared private links for board view, invitations to portfolios, dashboard export — each aimed at a stakeholder who needs the picture without a seat in the plan. The other is loosening the product's attachment to the chart it is named after, through the list view, board view and table reports. For a tool that sold one visualisation, methodically shipping all the others is the more consequential of the two.
Expect the next feature post to extend the sharing thread, export or link access for views that lack it, since two of the last three features were about read-only distribution. The October posts are content marketing, so the gap since August means no new feature has appeared in the feed.

Identity and access remain the theme: OIDC login, OIDC-only mode, multiple API keys, the critical auth bypass fix in 2.17.6, and now narrower key scope. Performance work for large heartbeat tables is emerging alongside it. Release notes are still often bare issue numbers.
Expect 2.18.x patches addressing database migrations, given the MariaDB failure noted in 2.18.1; the notes don't show what a 2.19 would contain.
