Podia
Podia lets creators switch off event reminders, its fifth store basic in three weeks
A side-by-side editorial comparison of Easygenerator and Open edX — release velocity, themes, recent moves, and the top alternatives to consider.
Easygenerator ships an AI co-author that builds entire courses through conversation.
Easygenerator has launched EasyAI Agent, a built-in AI co-author that generates and refines courses through conversational interaction rather than manual editing. Surrounding releases—AI-assisted roleplay creation, question-level SCORM reporting, SCIM 2.0 identity provider support, and bulk user management—show a product systematically raising its capability floor across authoring, administration, and analytics.
Open edX closes a stored-script hole in course certificates on both supported release lines
Open edX's visible stream is release-branch commits, and every recent one is corrective. The October fix stops course authors from planting script in certificate pages through an Advanced Setting that was merged into the certificate context unescaped, and it landed on verawood and ulmo within the same minute. July's entries closed an authorization gap on the course-team endpoint the same way, one fix per branch.

EasyAI Agent repositions Easygenerator from authoring editor to course-generation platform. Combined with EasyCoach Assistant for roleplay creation and collaborative review workflows, the product is building an AI-mediated authoring loop: AI generates, humans review, AI refines. The SCIM 2.0 and bulk user management additions target enterprise IT requirements, indicating a deliberate upmarket push alongside the AI authoring capabilities.
The next integration point is the review-AI loop: AI-generated drafts reviewed by collaborators, with revision requests fed back to the AI agent in a single workflow. The current gap between AI generation and human review modes is the obvious seam to close.

The work pattern is security backports to the two named branches operators actually run, not feature delivery. Fixes increasingly target trust boundaries inside a course: what an author or an enrolled learner can reach that they should not.
More paired backports to verawood and ulmo are the likeliest next entries; nothing in the feed points to a feature release.
