What is Drone CI?

Drone now ships as Harness Open Source, and its releases are mostly code-hosting features.

The feed tracked for Drone CI is the Harness Open Source repository, which absorbed Drone. Its two visible releases are about Git hosting, not pipelines: v3.2.0 added Git LFS, default reviewers through branch rules, PR retargeting and a revert option, and v3.3.0 in August 2025 added tag rules, a PR dashboard with favorite repositories, and a fix for a Git LFS upload path-traversal issue.

What is Redocly?

Redocly gives its docs MCP server its own name and public endpoint settings.

Redocly shipped a dense fix cycle across Reunite, its docs framework and the AsyncAPI plugin, mostly around access: 30-day sessions on hosted projects, fixed project lists for restricted members, and invites that no longer demote owners. On October 27 Reunite started saving the project config for Realm Plus builds, so access rules, AI assistant and MCP hide options and publish rules match the live site. @redocly/config 0.68.0 replaces the mcp.docs object with mcp.name, mcp.ignore and mcp.publicEndpoint options.

Drone now ships as Harness Open Source, and its releases are mostly code-hosting features.

◆ Current state

The feed tracked for Drone CI is the Harness Open Source repository, which absorbed Drone. Its two visible releases are about Git hosting, not pipelines: v3.2.0 added Git LFS, default reviewers through branch rules, PR retargeting and a revert option, and v3.3.0 in August 2025 added tag rules, a PR dashboard with favorite repositories, and a fix for a Git LFS upload path-traversal issue.

◆ Where it's heading

Drone's identity is being folded into a broader Harness platform that combines code hosting, review and CI. Recent work brings branch- and tag-protection rules and review workflows up to GitHub and GitLab standards. Nothing in these entries concerns Drone's pipeline engine directly.

◆ Prediction

With only two releases, three months apart, visible, the cadence is unclear. If it continues, expect more repository governance and PR workflow features rather than CI changes.

Redocly gives its docs MCP server its own name and public endpoint settings.

◆ Current state

Redocly shipped a dense fix cycle across Reunite, its docs framework and the AsyncAPI plugin, mostly around access: 30-day sessions on hosted projects, fixed project lists for restricted members, and invites that no longer demote owners. On October 27 Reunite started saving the project config for Realm Plus builds, so access rules, AI assistant and MCP hide options and publish rules match the live site. @redocly/config 0.68.0 replaces the mcp.docs object with mcp.name, mcp.ignore and mcp.publicEndpoint options.

◆ Where it's heading

The MCP server Redocly generates for docs sites is becoming a configurable product surface of its own, following last week's MCP-URL page actions. Around it, Reunite work stays focused on making permissions and config behave the same in Reunite as on the published site.

◆ Prediction

Expect more MCP and AI assistant options in @redocly/config, with follow-up fixes as Realm Plus projects move onto the Reunite config path.
