Self-service continuous integration platform built on container technology
Drone now ships as Harness Open Source, and its releases are mostly code-hosting features.

◆Current state
The feed tracked for Drone CI is the Harness Open Source repository, which absorbed Drone. Its two visible releases are about Git hosting, not pipelines: v3.2.0 added Git LFS, default reviewers through branch rules, PR retargeting and a revert option, and v3.3.0 in August 2025 added tag rules, a PR dashboard with favorite repositories, and a fix for a Git LFS upload path-traversal issue.
◆Where it's heading
Drone's identity is being folded into a broader Harness platform that combines code hosting, review and CI. Recent work brings branch- and tag-protection rules and review workflows up to GitHub and GitLab standards. Nothing in these entries concerns Drone's pipeline engine directly.
◆Prediction
With only two releases, three months apart, visible, the cadence is unclear. If it continues, expect more repository governance and PR workflow features rather than CI changes.

Harness OSS 3.3: tag rules, PR dashboard, LFS security fix
Tag rules extend 3.2's branch rules to tags, and the PR dashboard, favorites and Create PR banner improve daily review work. It also patches a Git LFS upload flaw that let authenticated users write files outside the intended path, so self-hosters should upgrade.

Harness OSS 3.2: Git LFS, default reviewers, revert PR
3.2 fills common gaps in code hosting: Git LFS, default reviewers and Code Owner assignment via branch rules, changing a PR's target branch, and reverting a merged PR. It shows the project competing as a Git host, not only as CI.
