Single Grain's feed shifts to sales-ops how-tos, still agency content rather than product.
A side-by-side editorial comparison of Curator.io and Surfer SEO — release velocity, themes, recent moves, and the top alternatives to consider.
Curator.io adds two-factor sign-in after patching its servers for October's PHP CVEs
Curator.io embeds social feeds on websites and publishes monthly release notes. October added email verification and two-factor authentication, after a separate notice that its servers were patched for two critical PHP vulnerabilities on October 22. The surrounding months added self-serve API key resets, plan-bound API access, schedules and Media Library work, with connector fixes in every release.
Surfer turns AI visibility into a to-do list, now reaching into server logs and off-page work.
Surfer now scores content for both Google rankings and AI-search citations, and its MCP server has left beta for Pro and higher plans. The October batch widens the AI-visibility surface: Recommendations now rank off-page moves like earning mentions and fixing sentiment, and a closed-beta Agent Analytics reads server logs to show which pages AI crawlers actually fetch. Distribution is broadening too, with the WordPress plugin now running the full Content Editor and the app shipping in French and Polish.

Account security is the newest thread, joining the steady upkeep of social source connectors that dominates every release.
Connector fixes will keep filling the monthly notes; the entries do not show what follows 2FA.

Since May the thread has been programmatic access plus AI-search measurement. API expansion led to MCP beta, and MCP is now generally available. Each AI-visibility release closes another gap between what Surfer measures and what it tells you to do, and that now extends beyond your own pages. Surfer is positioning itself as the system of record for how a brand appears in AI answers, not only as a writing aid.
Agent Analytics and the rebuilt Topical Map are both pre-release, so the next move is likely one of them opening up. Their data would probably feed into Recommendations the same way AI Tracker did in August.
