The last six releases cluster around two arcs: paying affiliates and policing them. Stripe payouts now handle bulk runs across mixed methods and pay in local currencies with automatic US 1099s, while a built-in Anti-Fraud tab flags PPC brand-bidding, self-referrals, and fake accounts. A parallel RewardsWP loyalty line (points, free-product rewards, birthday rewards) rounds out the store-side surface.
◆Where it's heading
AffiliateWP is absorbing capabilities that used to require separate addons or manual work: payouts, fraud detection, and loyalty are all moving into the core dashboard. The direction is an end-to-end affiliate operations suite rather than a tracking plugin.
◆Prediction
The payout and anti-fraud threads are getting the most consecutive releases, so expect those to deepen next: more payout regions or providers, and more fraud signal types.
