What is Celoxis?

Celoxis publishes buyer-guide content on a schedule; its releases are elsewhere

Every captured entry is search-targeted content for project management buyers: best-tools round-ups by vertical and company stage, a resource-levelling guide, a dashboards showcase, cyber security project management. Nothing announces a version, feature or change to Celoxis itself. Publication is regular and the topics rotate through segments — startups, telecom, creative teams — in the way a content calendar does.

What is Resource Guru?

Resource Guru is turning the schedule from a canvas you arrange into a system that resolves itself.

The feed mixes SEO articles with genuine product notes, and the product notes have been unusually consequential this quarter. Total Hours bookings let a user commit a number of hours across a date range and have the scheduler fit them around existing work. An MCP server exposes account data to AI clients through plain-language prompts. Around those, a run of smaller controls landed: custom-field colour coding on the Schedule, a configurable Projects view, a daily digest of placeholder bookings, and a Trello integration.

Celoxis vs Resource Guru: editorial side-by-side

C5.0

Celoxis publishes buyer-guide content on a schedule; its releases are elsewhere

◆ Current state

Every captured entry is search-targeted content for project management buyers: best-tools round-ups by vertical and company stage, a resource-levelling guide, a dashboards showcase, cyber security project management. Nothing announces a version, feature or change to Celoxis itself. Publication is regular and the topics rotate through segments — startups, telecom, creative teams — in the way a content calendar does.

◆ Where it's heading

The only product-adjacent signal is which capabilities the content keeps circling: resource levelling in Gantt charts, dashboards, portfolio-level control. That indicates where Celoxis believes it competes — scheduling and resource management for teams that have outgrown a task board — but it is positioning, not evidence of shipping.

◆ Prediction

Expect the segment rotation to continue producing one round-up per vertical. Anything about the product's own development will need a source other than this feed.

R7.5

Resource Guru is turning the schedule from a canvas you arrange into a system that resolves itself.

◆ Current state

The feed mixes SEO articles with genuine product notes, and the product notes have been unusually consequential this quarter. Total Hours bookings let a user commit a number of hours across a date range and have the scheduler fit them around existing work. An MCP server exposes account data to AI clients through plain-language prompts. Around those, a run of smaller controls landed: custom-field colour coding on the Schedule, a configurable Projects view, a daily digest of placeholder bookings, and a Trello integration.

◆ Where it's heading

Two moves define the direction. Total Hours changes what a booking is — an amount of work to be placed rather than a block a human placed — which points the product at constraint solving rather than manual arrangement. The MCP server makes the same schedule queryable by assistants instead of only viewable in the UI. The smaller features are consistent with both: placeholders, custom fields, and colour rules are all ways of encoding intent that a solver or an assistant can act on.

◆ Prediction

Expect the auto-fitting behaviour introduced by Total Hours to extend to placeholders and to rescheduling after a conflict, since those are the cases where a declared total is most obviously better than a fixed block.
