Browser Use opens BU Ultrafast to every US plan, free tier included
BU Ultrafast is now on every Browser Use Cloud plan in the US, including free, and its waitlist has closed. It is selected by setting model to bu-ultrafast on POST /api/v4/runs and takes no model parameters, while bu-fast runs the same agent with more reasoning per step. The entry gives no speed or price figures. It is the first feed entry since the August 23 consolidation release, which brought single-request V4 session opens, paged transcripts and a correction to BYOK cache-read billing.
Grav's 1.7 line takes three patches in four hours, hardening every bundled web-server config.
Grav's 1.7 branch shipped three patches between 10-31 and 11-01. 1.7.53.7 backports five Grav 2.2.18 security fixes found by Anthropic's OSS Scanner, covering image conversion, cached cookie responses and media metadata. 1.7.53.8 brings the Grav 2 protection rules to the bundled Apache, IIS, nginx, Caddy and lighttpd configs plus the php -S router. 1.7.53.9 stops the :80 redirect on sites behind an HTTPS-terminating proxy.

Speed is becoming a setting the caller picks: bu-ultrafast and bu-fast are one agent at two reasoning depths. That follows the August work, where X402 metering made the browser open the billable unit and scheduling let agents run unattended. A parameterless model on the free plan also gives new users a simple way to try the V4 runs endpoint.
The US-only wording is the visible limit, so availability elsewhere is the next step to watch. How BU Ultrafast is priced beyond the free plan is not something this entry settles.

Security work lands on Grav 2 first and is then carried back to 1.7, and the pace of that carry-back jumped: one patch on 10-24, three within about four hours. The fixes moved from individual code paths to the web-server rules that sit in front of the application. Among web servers, only Apache sites get those rules on upgrade; IIS, nginx, Caddy and lighttpd sites must copy them by hand, so protection on 1.7 now depends on the host's web server.
Expect more 1.7.53.x patches mirroring 2.x security fixes, plus small follow-up fixes like the proxy redirect in 1.7.53.9. The entries don't show how long 1.7 support continues.
