X402 metering on August 9 made the browser open the billable unit, scheduling and the Agency skill on August 16 made agents run unattended between sessions, and this week pays down what both require in order to hold: session-open latency, transcripts that survive long unattended runs, and tabs that recover when nobody is watching. The BYOK correction carries more weight than a bug fix because price parity between the managed and bring-your-own paths is the assumption the new metering rests on.

The weekly Sunday cadence and the model-picker churn - bu-2-0-mini-preview added, MiniMax M3 removed - point toward continued consolidation around its own model lineup. Whether the next release returns to new capability or keeps hardening the V4 surface is not something these entries settle.
