What is Archbee?

Archbee is tightening the controls around docs it already publishes, not changing what docs are.

Archbee's recent entries are small, concrete additions to its documentation editor and publishing layer: RSS feeds for hybrid and password-protected spaces, export straight from the editor, team-level SAML and OIDC inheritance, and branch history and navigation fixes. Public docs can now return Markdown responses, and PDF output gained navigable bookmarks. None of it changes the product's category; it reduces friction for teams already running docs on it.

What is Hive?

Hive adds weekly Hot sheets and rate inheritance for services firms.

Hive shipped seven changes on Oct 13. Weekly Hot sheets email each recipient a report on every project they can see (status, owner, budget burn, milestones, overdue items) and keep past sheets in Hive. Projects gain default bill and cost rates that sub-projects inherit, with optional backdating; Resourcing Estimates can pre-fill from action-card assignments; goal status rules are redesigned with fixed limits; and workflows gain project-trigger conditions.

Archbee is tightening the controls around docs it already publishes, not changing what docs are.

◆ Current state

Archbee's recent entries are small, concrete additions to its documentation editor and publishing layer: RSS feeds for hybrid and password-protected spaces, export straight from the editor, team-level SAML and OIDC inheritance, and branch history and navigation fixes. Public docs can now return Markdown responses, and PDF output gained navigable bookmarks. None of it changes the product's category; it reduces friction for teams already running docs on it.

◆ Where it's heading

Two threads stand out. Branching keeps getting attention (history, navigation, per-branch icons), which points to docs managed like code with review before publish. Access control is moving up to the team level, so larger organizations can administer many spaces without repeating SSO setup for each one.

◆ Prediction

Expect more branch-workflow and team-admin work; the Markdown responses for public docs hint at machine-readable output, but the entries are too thin to say whether that grows into a larger feature.

Hive adds weekly Hot sheets and rate inheritance for services firms.

◆ Current state

Hive shipped seven changes on Oct 13. Weekly Hot sheets email each recipient a report on every project they can see (status, owner, budget burn, milestones, overdue items) and keep past sheets in Hive. Projects gain default bill and cost rates that sub-projects inherit, with optional backdating; Resourcing Estimates can pre-fill from action-card assignments; goal status rules are redesigned with fixed limits; and workflows gain project-trigger conditions.

◆ Where it's heading

The Oct 9 batch reached from delivery into proposals, billing and ledgers; this batch fills in the operating layer between them: rates set once and inherited, resource plans seeded from project plans, and a weekly portfolio report that shows budget burn only to people with Finance access. The common buyer is still the operations or finance lead of a professional-services firm running the business inside Hive.

◆ Prediction

Expect Hot sheets and goals to tie further into Finance data such as margin or billed-versus-planned figures, and more workflow conditions as teams move older recipes into Workflows; the entries don't show which comes first.
